Cape Town Museum Management Committee
The Cape Town Museum is staffed by the Western Cape Museum Services and supported by a Management Committee. The Management Committee consists of four members nominated by the public and appointed by the Western Cape Minister of Cultural Affairs and Sport as well as two representatives of the Department of Cultural Affairs and Sport.

Laura Robinson is a qualified architect and heritage specialist, and has worked extensively with both museums and heritage places over a number of years. As a member of both ICOM and ICOMOS her particular interests include the built environment, intangible heritage, cultural landscapes and rights based approaches to cultural heritage.

Deputy Chairperson
Thabelo Nkaliseng is a young cultural and development enthusiast with experience in policy development, youth empowerment, food security, and heritage research. He has worked with institutions such as the South African Institute of International Affairs and Stats SA, contributing to projects focused on inclusive development, indigenous knowledge systems, and community upliftment. He is passionate about advancing cultural preservation and ensuring that museums remain accessible, educational, and responsive to community needs.

Lorelle Hutton is the Deputy Director, Museum Services at Department of Cultural Affairs And Sport. She is responsible for the oversight of 32 museum including supervision of the museum managers.
